Village Council Business
Briercrest is classified as an urban area and therefore has a Mayor and Village Council.
At present one mayor and two councillors form the village council. Briercrest also has a Village Administrator (Linda Senchuk) who handles much of the village administration.
Current Incumbents are as follows:

Mr. Larry Paysen, Councillor
Council meets monthly, usually on the second Thursday in the month at 7:00 pm. Meetings are held at the Village Office (above) and are open to the public. A complete list of council meetings can be found in the Upcoming Events section of the Web Site. Any changes to this schedule are posted on the Village Office window and on the Bulletin Board in the lobby of the Community Store. A meeting may also be called with 24 hours notice posted in the above places.
In order to get an issue before council, a letter or completed form (available at the Village Office), must be received at the Village Office no later than 1:00 pm at least four business days prior to a scheduled council meeting.

Landfill
The Landfill is open on Saturdays 10 am to 2 pm.
Keeping with Public Health rules:

- Treated Lumber
- Carcassess
- Grain Screenings
- Furniture- including Mattresses
- Petroleum Products

- Shingles
- Insulation of any kind
- Glass of any kind
- Old Vehicles
- Plastic of any kind
- Tires
Taxes
The 2018 Municipal taxes are due by December 31st 2018. Please be advised that effective January 1st 2019 any outstanding taxes will be subject to a penalty as per the current bylaw schedule.
Please also note that any outstanding unpaid water bills at the end of the year will also be added to the taxes of the property where the service was delivered.
