BRIC
Village of BriercrestBriercrest Rural Involvement Club was borne out of the old Lions Club. The BRIC continues their charitable and community values. Members meet monthly on the second Tuesday where they review upcoming areas of potential community service and how they can be of assistance. Once the meeting is over, they retire for an evening of socializing, pool, shuffleboard or darts.
They have been instrumental in providing both material and labour for needed community events including repairs to the Community Store, a very successful school reunion at which over 500 people attended.
Each winter they host a Combine Dunk, where residents guess the date and time that the combine sinks in the Spring! Proceeds are split 50/50 between the club and the winners. The club uses its portion to assist with community projects. If you think that's a crazy winter sport, wait for the goldfish races!
